Little Havana/Calle Ocho Travel Guide
Glenn Lindgren: El Pub is a great little restaurant, and an example of the rebirth of Calle Ocho. For years this restaurant sat empty. In 1996, Gregorio Rivera and his brother Heliodoro Coro (owner of the nearby El Exquisito) reopened the restaurant.
Jorge Castillo: El Pub features simple, criollo or "country-style" Cuban favorites ropa vieja, bistec empanizado, lechón, pechuga de pollo rellena, tasajo... It's also a great place to get a Cuban sandwich (Cubano) and the desserts are all home made.
Glenn Lindgren: It's fun to just come in and look at all of the Cuban memorabilia that covers the walls.
