"Eating Little Havana" - A Restaurant & Food Guide

Spotlight On:

Exquisito Restaurant

Glenn Lindgren: The Exquisito Restaurant started out as a small, four-table cafeteria next to the Tower Theater. It now seats 75 with a menu featuring some of the best tamales and masitas de puerco (pork chunks) in town.

Jorge Castillo: Exquisito offers an extensive Cuban menu and also maintains an informal gallery of local artists, whose artwork decorates the walls.

Raúl Musibay: El Exquisito reminds me of several small restaurants I remember from Cuba. T

Glenn Lindgren: The prices are very reasonable. They have just about every Cuban Sandwich (Cubano) ever invented. I especially like the croquetas preparadas and the papa rellena preparada. Get a sandwich and an order of freshly fried tostones, and you have a great lunch.

Exquisito Restaurant

The accent is on Creole here, in a clean and tidy restaurant that never fails to deliver. The recently expanded El Exquisito serves some of the best tamales and masitas de puerco in town. Check out the daily lunch specials or go all out with the tortilla vasca, a Spanish-style omelet.

PRICES: Low

ATMOSPHERE: Very casual

HOURS: Daily, 7:00 a.m. to Midnight
